Over summer 2022, I began another attempt at making a shirt and imagining designs for pajamas to make from my fabrics. I eventually realized a simple gown would be easiest, though I would not make another attempt until earlier this year, 2025.

"My first two pieces of clothing will be pajamas. Blue and pink fabric, both jersey material, micro modal and micro Tencel. Stretch in one direction, the other stretches in all. Both need to be layered for full coverage, tripled in some areas. I will use thick seams and line for strength and style."
For some reason, I consistently choose my nice, expensive fabrics to use off the rip for my attempts at making clothes. Not only was this uneconomical but more difficult as well, they are not beginner friendly. It was silly misguided choices like this that would continually make me fail and stop trying for long periods of time. This is probably true for many things I fantasize about doing in life, I don't ask for help and take no logical direction.
Along with overcomplicating the fabric, I overcomplicated the design process. Instead of simply copying an existing shirt by tracing the outline I instead wanted to design a proper blouse-like garment, with panels and structure. Honestly, I wonder often if i ever wanted to make clothes in the first place, if i even do now. All I ever do is think about it and create obstacles, even though its pretty straightforward.
