Llewella's Anatomy 2024

Returning to where it all began, “Human Anatomy for Artists” remains the most thorough and functional of them all. Isolated in the Virginia forest, I made extensive and detailed notes on each muscle and drew a few powerful diagrams.

This was the most direction I have ever had while studying anatomy. It seemed like I already knew most of the basics and it was time to systematically acquire the next level of detail. It all comes from November 2024, amid my legendary 100 head challenge - one of the only things I have ever finished.

Looking back on all of this is a painful reminder of everything I gave up on abandoning home. I figured that as long as I had the essentials, I could continue as I was. When I got to Texas, I was so lost and ungrounded with no way of orienting myself. It has taken over a year to regain any sense of balance or bearing. If I had stayed in Virginia, I probably would have continued drawing and studying, but that’s all my life would be.
